Hitori Dake no Renga - Myth of Err? (49)

Image:

"All the souls had now chosen their lives, ... and then towards
evening they encamped by the river of Unmindfulness [Lethe, two
syllables], whose water no vessel can hold; of this they were all
obliged to drink a certain quantity, and those who were not saved
by wisdom drank more than was necessary; and each one as he drank
forgot all things." -- The Myth of Er, from Plato's The Republic

Sounds an awful lot like chocolate to me.

The hand is, again, my own, scanned actually on my scanner
instead of photographed; the lake of chocolate was a double
render, first for the lake and second for the rippled reflection,
and then composited and airbrushed manually.
