STORIES
| The Mind Like a Strange Balloon |
Here's my first published story, from OMNI, June, 1985.
Remarkably, I can still read it without suffering toxic shock.
| The Robot and the One You Love |
A story, also published in OMNI, concerning love, industrial
espionage, and robots. Or something like that.
| Gravity's Angel |
A story published in OMNI - I see a trend developing here -
concerning the Superconducting Supercollider that might have
been.
| Snake Eyes |
This is my mainline cyberpunk story, published first in OMNI
then in Bruce Sterling's Mirrorshades: The Cyberpunk
Anthology. I think this is the Japanese OMNI cover.
It's gotten around.
| Florida |
Calling this a story is a stretch. It's a tiny piece that fits on
a bookmark, published as a contribution to the anthology named
above, for the 1989 Magicon in Orlando, Florida.
NOVEL
| Halo |
This novel was originally published by Tor Books in 1992 to what
I regard as a gratifying reception: lots of reviews, mostly
enthusiastic, and good sales for a little-known author.
It is now out of print, and I am delighted to continue making it
available on the web.
