We're making Vietnamese beef pho
tonight. My wife is a great cook. I am
just the sous chef. I was tasked with
julien-ing(?) green onions. It was
oddly satisfying work. She was
chopping cilantro. Oddly, I *really*
like the smell of cilanto but I'm not
all that keen on the taste.

Earlier in the day, I worked on a
couple of projects. One is a
web-to-gopher scraper for a newspaper.
It's not on any gophermaps and never
will be, since it's proprietary
content. I created it for my own use
on the Bold 9900. It works very well,
and if you'd like a copy of the
script, just email me. I wonder how
many other people have unmapped gopher
content?

The other project is my ongoing
bathroom renovation. I don't have much
left to do in the grand scheme of
things. The wiring is done and
inspected, the drywall is up and
painted, and now all the cementboard
is in and ready to be waterproofed and
tiled. I had to leave it for the
winter (due to work commitments) and
it's really exciting to think that it
will soon be done.

Have you ever written something really
long that you subsequently
reconsidered? I did that today. I
might publish it. Or I might just post
it at the circumlunar.space bulletin
board. Or I might trash it. I hate
being uncertain about something I've
spent a lot of time working on.

I hope you're all enjoying the
weekend.

Despite the preceding comments, I
don't think I have been this content
in ages. Life is certainly good for me
these days.
