Fido is not only what happens now, It's memory, story, and also teaching something that someone maybe has forgot.

Everything could help to keep Fido alive, also memories and various articles on it, fidonews has a regular edition, full of contents that can help someone to start with fidonet, but it's static and, as you said, nothing to speak about.

The Echo Area is a dump, I don't know why I still read it.

So I think that another media can step in and change something. :)
