This may seem weird, but since Shipp asked it should be addressed. Anyone who would ask ordinary American citizens `So what would you use guns for' ought to be refered to two true stories from the late 1800's; The end of the James/Younger gang, and the end of the Dalton gang. Both of those gangs of outlaws were brought to an end by ordinary citizens who were armed and ready to stand up to outlawry; the Dalton's in Coffeyville, Kansas, and the Youngers and James bunch in Northfield, Minnesota. If there were a few modern instances of either or both of those scenarios, there'd be a lot less criminality in neighborhoods, far less mass shootings than there have been in recent decades, and drive-by shootings would be either extremely rare, or disappear altogether. But lefties will come up with dozens of excuses as to why honest citizens should NOT have the use of firearms available to them.
