I haven't logged on here in a while, but I got read an article yesterday that
made me think I should log on here and poke around.

The article was about "Where have all the websites gone?", discussing how in the
old internet days we would seek out content on our owns, we were our own
curators. Now algorithms curate our experience based on other values that don't
really return the same amount of joy. And of course because most of the
audience is on social media platforms, the content creators make content for
that platform, and therefore less websites.

I still think there are some cool websites out there. I think it is just hard
to find them. There is a lot more noise, and SEO has kinda ruined everything
in terms of discoverability. I am going to start keeping a list of cool
websites I find.

All of this is to say I am glad to be back because I love this part of the
internet. I have already been drawn back into all the fun little games and
joys I find on here. I am going to start doing some fun stuff on here too,
or atleast be more active. I really only use my windows box now adays,
which is one reason I wasn't joining much as my ssh private key was on that
partition. I got them moved over to the windows side, so now I can join from
either. And I plan to keep it up regularly when I am on here.

Still trying to find my windows SSH client. I am using MobaXTerm rn and it
kinda sucks. Keeps dropping the connection and is overall not amazing.

adios
