(LA's weekly newspaper, it has a LOT of ads and is oversized; it's coverage is national but tends toward LA/California as well, especially in its art and movie sections; it sports one MAJOR interview per week with someone interesting ie last week it was a gay FBI agent; HUGE personals ad section--it's also free in LA, but you gotta pay if you live elsewhere) The Washington Blade 1408 U Street, N.W. 2nd Floor Washington, D.C.20009-3916 52 issues/yr. $30.00 (Hey, I live here and it's GREAT--a real newspaper, no pics or gay porn or anything; it's one of the oldest and most respected gay papers around, and has EXTENSIVE national coverage, an AIDS alert column, and great life and art and movie sections; it also has a sizeable personals section) -------------- Okay, I've had NO subscription problems to most of these magazines.Some, like Numbers, are REALLY overpriced and I'd suggest you check them out on a month-to-month basis at your local gay boosktore or porn shop to see if it interests you, and then and only then buy it IF that particular month's issue is good. I hope everyone buys at least ONE gay magazine in their lifetime, and you should buy either The Advocate or the Washington Blade if you are interested in gay news, politics, and events. See ya! Tim #1
