Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

-   440 g flour
-   0.5 tbsp baking soda
-   0.25 tsp salt
-   225 g butter
-   200 g white granulated sugar
-   1 egg
-   115 g sour cream
-   1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

1.  Cream the sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl
2.  Add egg and incorporate
3.  Add sour cream and vanilla,
4.  Mix until creamy
5.  In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt
6.  Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter and sugar mixture
7.  Form a dough, then wrap with cling film and chill for 1 hour in
    fridge
8.  Preheat oven to 150 C
9.  Grease and line baking sheets with parchment
10. Roll out dough to ~1.2 cm thick
11. Use cookie cutter to cut dough, place on baking sheet
12. Bake for ~11 minutes
13. Let cool completely on wire rack
14. Add fondant or buttercream icing, sprinkles etc.
