Webbing Tilde

I was considering putting a file manager CGI script on one or more of my tilde accounts so I could fiddle with tilde pages when away from home, but weighing against it:

Also, even though most (but not all) tilde hosts have user list and latest update pages, and some tildizens have been putting a lot of work into Javascript web toys, the tildeverse is lacking in web-based utilities. That may be intentional since one of the goals of the tilde movement is to encourage community formation via shell-based facilities and the sysads may be afraid that putting up web-base social tools will reduce shell participation. Which is probably right, but it cuts down on the time I'm able to contribute.
