However there seems to be a problem with the email address. Some part of it 
is removed, is it to prevent spam ?

Yes, the address is truncated. That's not a bug but a feature. :-)
Unfortunately, there is no possibility to have a script running under the
gopher server on SDF, so I only could imagine interaction via e-mail.
And I did not want people to complain about showing their e-mail address.
However, *some* tracking with the address may be useful, therefore this
compromise. Can be discussed of course!

Thanks for your echo! :)
Currently, opening a new thread is possible only for me, either by using the 
shell command on the server itself (my preferred way), or by sending an 
e-mail to myself with a special one-time key in the header (for security 
reasons).
But in principle the script could allow everybody to start a thread.
