Psych vs. Psych

When I first came to the realization that my realization may not
reflect reality, I decided that the correct thing to do would be to
visit a psychologist. I do know that there is a difference between a
psychologist and a psychiatrist, but my experience in the past has led
me to believe that the normal procedure, if there is one, is to see
the psychologist first, and then they recommend you see the
psychiatrist for medication. I'm not sure why I thought that was the
way things worked, but that's what I thought.

I went to a county mental health center and met with a psychologist
who decided that I needed to have some tests done. The tests were
scheduled, but I was never told when, etc. I waited for a couple
months, all the while getting worse.

Luckily, I had enough mental capacity to realize that I needed a care
giver, and I appointed a trustworthy friend. He suggested that what we
really needed was to get me on medication ASAP. And for that, we
needed a psychiatrist. I was unaware that I could just make an
appointment with one, but apparently I can, and I did. And that's how
I started getting treatment.

Recently, I've realized that I also need to see a psychologist. And
so, I've made an appointment for this Tuesday. Hopefully, the
appointment won't clash with The Intergalactic Wasabi Mix on Anonradio
Tuesday. Snowdusk is part of my psychiatric treatment :)
