Magic

This morning in the shower, the tiles moved in on me. They suddenly
appeared to be much closer. It was an effect of their pattern, like
the old "magic" pictures, where you look closely at the picture and
it turns 3D on you. I think that's what happened to the tiles. Kinda
freaked me out a bit, though.

I got dressed, was eating breakfast, when I noticed that my shirt was
inside out. I've never done that before. That bothers me.

Sat across from Yummy Donut this morning, waiting for work. There's a
man who walks five dogs at once. I see him every day. Four of the
dogs are intent on their destination, always looking forward. The
fifth seems to have an attention deficit issue. Like me.

And then, I saw him again. The guy from the band OKGO. If I wasn't in
Los Angeles, I'd think I was just making him up in my crazy head, but
I think it's actually him. Of course, I can't tell the difference.
Perhaps one of the studios where they're making their next video is
around here.

The think about Los Angeles is that there are a lot of crazy people
here. So, if I'm schizo (and I very well could be), I can't gauge if
I'm talking to a real person by other peoples' reactions. They're all
used to crazy people, and they just ignore anyone who is talking to
someone who's not there.

I could ask them, but I suspect I still wouldn't get an answer. My
friend suggested I take their picture, but around here, that could
result in a fight.

My friend put a call recorder on my phone to record all of my calls.
This was because I was getting calls from someone who I suspected
might not exist. It never recorded his calls. But the phone also
didn't even show the call ever coming in.

Tomorrow, I'm heading to Palm Springs to take care of some business.
Should be a cool 110F or so out there. I hate the desert.
