Well it's been quite an enjoyable weekend. Seriously can't remember what happened on Friday. Think I did some shopping, bought a whole chicken, chopped it up and froze it. Oh yes, bought pasta and sauce and stuff. Saturday, I hunted for a bicycle, ended up buying it in K-mart at Chadston, with Marcus driving. We then assembled it at his place, Jason came, went for dinner at Box Hill, met a few of Marcus' friends, hung around till 930pm, then headed back to his place, loaded up the bicycle in his car, then he drove me home. C had 2 friends staying over, they're probably younger than me, but was surprised to hear that they're married already. A half Filipino Aussie marrying a china girl. Then we had a little video call where some of my family, well what's left of it, was having reunion dinner. So we had a little conversation going on till about 1240am when the connection died. Good thing it died cus Marcus could have never went home. Slept at 2am++. Woke up at 845, energizing myself, cycled to church. As I walked in, couldn't help but break down to these lyrics. Worthy To Be Praised (Planet Shakers) Lord, I come into Your presence. Here I stand in awesome reverence, FalLg before the wonder of Your Name. Humbly now, Lord, I surrender. This offering to You forever. Take all I am and use me, Lord, I pray. Make me what You want me to be Teach me Your ways I lay down my life for You. Throw down my crowns before You. Give up my all for Your Name. My Saviour, how I adore You. Healer, my heart longs for You. Jesus, You're worthy to be praised. Really enjoyed the fresh songs, fresh atmosphere. I think the only drawback is that, service is just service and it ends like that. Nothing much really happens. The youths go to the youths, and the young adults go to their respective service. So frankly I've never really met guys my age, not much anyway. Cycled back home, had some noodle. then optimized my brakes for the bike for like 3 hours?? It was insane because I didn't have the right tools, really taxed me physically to work it right. Finally got the brakes optimized, decided to check out the nearby Botanical Park despite the 38.4 degrees Celsius out there. Put on my shades, my helmet, camera in pouch, I made it to the entrance and I had to turn back home. I was totally off form, it was quite a hilly route too, coupled with the sun, I was totally burned out. Then Rob met me at about 6pm, we went down to the Berwick COC. This was where I met Andrew, he invited us (Rob and myself) to this Wednesday night thing, which I have been seeking for so long. No more gimmicks, no nonsense of going outings or other worldly Christian activity. We're talking about pure prayer, pure word study, honest open sharing, and you've got to do your homework before you come as well. So this Wednesday, I'll have to read 1 Tim and Titus, twice, before I go. So we'll just share what we've learnt and all that. Men shall not live on bread alone, but by every word.
