====================================================================== Log #10 || 04/24/2022 || Kitchen Counter || Gemini PDA ====================================================================== We have a mink attempting to "fish" in our Koi pond, which isn't ideal. With spring comes visitors like racoons and now, for the first time, a very aggressive, persistent mink. With the help of friends and family, we managed to build a tough mesh cover of sorts which has kept him at bay. All the wildlife authority folks we've spoken with have said the only real way to be rid of a mink is to trap and relocate it. I'm inclined to agree as none of the counter-measures such as the sound and noise devices have been effective. Really the only thing it seems to be startled by is flashlight beams and profanity. We're hopeful that we'll be able to trap it and turn him over to Game, Fish & Parks. The lingering fear is that another mink will just take over this one's territory and the cycle will repeat anew. We shall see... Any experienced trappers out there have any tips or tricks?
