1 quart water;
1/4th cup tapiioca or 1/3rd cup rice
small stick cinnamon;
4 lemon slices;
1/4th cup raisins;
1/3rd cup sugar;
1 cup wine;
1/2 teaspoon vanilla;
1 1/2 cups bread cubes toasted in butter

Bring water to boil. Add tapioca, cinnamon, lemon slices, and raisins.
Cook until tapioca is clear and raisins are plump; or until rice and
raisins are done. Remove from heat and add sugar, wine, vanilla.
Just before serving add bread crumbs

Serves 6 to 8
