# Work in Progress: Portable Terminal

Yeah, I said it. A PORTABLE terminal with a PS2 keyboard, RS232 serial, 8x16 font with monochrome 640x480 output fed to a 10.4" display, a BIG ASS battery and... Some other nonsense crammed into the NOT-so-lightweight enclosure.

There are some crazy ideas in place for this particular project which has been designed countless times over the last six years and is FINALLY starting to happen thanks to a return to simplicity. As of right now I've got the display panel with a driver board (VGA and HDMI inputs), a modified variant of the Geoff Graham VT100 emulator (bought as a kit on Tindie), waiting for a PS/2 keyboard to arrive in the mail and am currently working out a design for the enclosure. Consider this the first installment of a series that will (hopefully) end with a (final?) complete overview of the system with FULL documentation.

Also, I will try to use less (parentheses) and CAPS in subsequent posts... Stay tuned for more!
