Start of my Gohper Hole
-------------------------
2022-6-4, Shanghai, China

Shanghai is reopening on 31st of May from the two month lockdown due to the
COVID-19 outbreakin March, We've been seating (eating, and of cause homeoffice
working) at home and watching the empty street and just used to a silent city.
It is actually also a bit of wild city, as the grass are grow like hell.
Now suddenly people are everywhere and it looks like totally another place.

I actually cross path with SDF just on begining April this year when I saw
Joey is hosting his Sensor Watch simulator page on sdf.org, I then decided
to dig a bit what's SDF, and then I found out this is the place I want to
set a home, I used to having a similar home in a China site Unix-China.net
but unfortunately it is no longer there.

I then validated myself by paypal on the same day, and then a few days later
I found out the Mastodon instance SDF is runing, I started the account too
there. In the month of April I felt the SDF community is so nice a place
not mentioning that once I was knocking around the SDF and entered the COM of
aNONradio.net chat and it was so nice of the people(snowdust and the folks)
there. Then in a weekend I made myself ARPA membership, that's early May.

In mid/late May, I again found Gopher is a neat place, I mkgophered my page,
but not knowing what to do next, in later days, I dropped in the holes of
SDF community, it's attractive!

Now, here, today on 4th of June, I made my first note.

btw,
I'm working and living in Shanghai China, I like Arts, Archaeology, and retro
stuff, I first encounter Linux was back to 2000 in my university time, and
start from that, I play Linux now-and-then, but never been in too much depth.
When I came in to SDF, I now started to lean the BSD systems and I'm kinda
loving it, simplicity, wonderful documentation, friendly community, this is
the key attractiveness to me. I'm also a fan of electronics, and now learning
Arduino and Raspberry Pi.

and yeah, this is pretty much me.
Nice meeting you folks.
