My gophersite is finally up and running. All the initial files and
structures are where I want them, and everything seems to be operational.
The only part left to do is write this phlog post and update the gophermap
of my phlog page.

It took a lot longer to set everything up than I expected, but I
finally have a spot here in gopherspace to post and discuss all the things
I'm passionate about. Perhaps part of that time came from all the work I had
to do in between working on the page. College classes, part-time at a grocery
store, multiple car repairs, visiting relatives, myriad volunteering
obligations, and now I'm working on this site.

Hopefully it doesn't prove to be more than I can chew.

It also raises the question of how much time I have for my creative
endeavors. Over the summer I didn't have classes, so that left me with ample
time to collect pieces for my poetry collection, typeset everything, and then
publish it. After that I even spent a couple weeks composing and performing
pieces for my ambient electronic album (Both of these projects can be found
by browsing the various sections of my site).

But now I have classes, and my schedule is busy enough that I can't
even bring my car in for the repairs it needs unless it's a Saturday. I've
been writing more pieces of poetry that I hope will eventually appear in
another collection, and I've been sitting on some notes and outlines for a
more longform fiction piece for months, with minimal progress. I can forsee
these projects taking years for some reason, and that thought scares me a
bit.

I don't like the feeling of stagnation.

Nevertheless, I've finally got the gophersite up and running. I have
time to explore more of gopherspace, and push out content for it, too. I
hope you enjoy what I create here in the future.

	Thanks.
