Title	: Old Suns
Artist	: Hainbach
Genre	: Ambient, Electronic
Released: 2019

Hainbach is known in the online electronic-based music community as a bit
of an odd fellow, especially among his peers on YouTube. Based out of
Germany, Hainbach scores films and plays, experiments with tape loops and
old test equipment, and plays around with modular synths, among a host of
other music making tools. He is the epitome of DIY experimentation in the
current music scene. His album "Old Suns" was inspired by a trip to Greece,
where he collected samples provided by his fans on Patreon, and arranged
them into a suite of ambient compositions, all meant to be recorded and
distributed on microcassettes. The result is a supreme tapestry of lofi
ambient sounds and loops, melodic passages, and ethereal soundscapes.
From the thunderous opening track "The Light That Broke the Night", to the
brooding and contemplative loops of "Tropical Gothic", "Old Suns" never
fails to take me on a journey through foreign places and alien moods.
Hainbach has always been one of my favorite modern music makers to watch
and learn from with his YouTube content, and this album is a perfect
example of what makes his sound important, unique, and overall, enjoyable.
