"Derelict Megatower" may seem like a joke at first. Random snippets and
samples of already existing songs, game OSTs, found footage interviews, and
other staples of the vaporwave genre, organized into 84 tracks, and a
runtime of four hours and one minute. This LP is dizzying, like looking
down as you ascend the megatower it supposedly crafts. Along the way, you
will come across electronic monoliths, the remnants of hypercapitalism, and
the ruins of various basecamps along the tower. Sitting through all four
hours and summiting the tower at least once is a surreal experience that I
highly recommend.
