# Living in Emacs2 *Entered: emacs on daily driver* | *Date: 20221104* *Soundtrack: the Ramones - I Remember You* ## Emacs Part 2 What I set up to start the experiment: -email, that one I had already set up back when I first configured Emacs. -emms, for the music I already have on the daily driver, pretty simple. -emms-streams, for streaming radio, mostly news, sports news, and some music stations. Realized that I have to start emms with my playlist prior to opening emms-streams in another tab if I want them both available in tabs. -newsticker: it had been a while since I used an rss reader, but this one is pretty nice. -Org, at first to set up the org journal, also handy for wrapping this at 60 columns, still working on all the rest it has to offer. -elpher: pretty handy for the gophershpere. -eww: nothing really to set up, just added bookmarks. What I like: The tabs. Having all of the above open in their own tabs is pretty convenient to move around fast. What I don't like: Can't seem to find a way that will display the metada on the emms-streams screen. Not all streams have their actual name anywhere in their URL.
