A semi-random selection of Fractal Explorer spotfiles covering a large part of my fractal generating years. They are mostly named by date, yy-mm-dd followed by a letter -- "a" for the first fractal of that day-series and a number. Sometimes there are cryptic additions indicating a change of palette or filter, or an end-tag having something to do with the appearance so I could find it faster later on.

If you are running Vista or upward, some of them will not be usable unless you want to run a lower version of Windwoes in a virtual machine. The formula compiler is very DOS.

Fractal Explorer is no longer in development, as far as I know. This is a hell of a shame. IMO it is the best damn fractal generator ever made. It is portable, for one thing. You can copy it anywhere, run it from a CD. It will run on Linux in wine.

Still available, however, at http://www.eclectasy.com/Fractal-Explorer/
