Why are Sinhabahu and Maname good?
==================================

"Why are Sinhabahu and Maname good?" I get a message from my friend.
"Listening to them makes me get into a good mood!" she continues.

"This is a very important question." I reply, taking time to think about
it.

"I think they are so good because they continue to move us, again and
again, igniting an emotive response (despite the fact that we know what
happens in them and the sequence of things).

"As long as the spectator knows the language, these plays can continue to
take seats next to any contemporary play, by Rajitha or anyone else and
evoke similar or even better, profound responses."

They are not museum exhibits. They continue to move us as artistc works, in
very personal, emotive ways.
