During the roughly 80-day journey, the crew will have about 40 days to ca= rry out scientific research. "Our expedition this time focuses on the ecosy= stem changes against the rapid changes in the Arctic with four major tasks,= " Wang Jinhui, leader of the scientific expedition team, told China Media G= roup (CMG). This event is hosted by a = consortium of US institutions, including the University of Colorado Boulder= , University of Northern Iowa, University of Alaska Fairbanks, and Alaska P= acific University. ICARP I, II, and III focused the attention of the world= =E2=80=99s researchers toward the value of strategic international coordina= tion in accelerating progress in addressing critical challenges.
