It's funny -- I love living in the city, I love cities visually; I 
love streets and signs and power lines and streetlights, windows and 
doors and manhole covers and cars and garbage -- I just love the 
visual qualities of dense, urban landscape.

But I hate drawing it.

I like drawing discrete forms, I like drawing objects.  You don't get 
objects in the city, you get fragments, facets, overlaps and 
interference; everything is occulted; the city is a ~field~.
