I'm weird. I don't mind reading legalese OR standards
   documentation *if* it's something of interest to me. It paints a
   picture in my head. But I also enjoy the pictures painted by
   poetry and ambiguity. The misleading speak of
   advertising/marketing fascinates me because it's an interpretive
   challenge to me and also because their ability to lead/mislead,
   as with politicians alike, both impresses and repulses me in
   their success at the task. I look for the "gotchas" in both
   cases. Standards with extensive glossaries that I'm yet
   unfamiliar with reads like the poetry of a strange subspecies of
   human and gains clarity upon access to the rosetta stone. In a
   business environment however, I expect clarity from my superiors
   and never hesitated to ask questions until I was satisfied. I
   like ambiguity unless it involves a task I have to perform and
   if my superior prefers me to mindread through their
   vaguesnesses, they're out of luck because I will demand
   clarification in one way or another. But I've always performed
   best in the crossroads between engineering and marketing.
