^a little knowledge is a dangerous thing: folks will run with a
   piece of knowledge and start a cause, either of hate or a
   die-hard supporter. Too much knowledge, and you can lose
   judgement - analysis paralysis. I think the best is inbetween:
   Know more than just a few catchphrases and commonly repeated
   opinions, know enough where you can have a balanced view and
   could safely teach another to be able to consider for themselves
   what they think the right answer is, but not know so much that
   you are paralyzed and consumed by the littlest of details
   (expert status). What do you think?^
