Google offers (offered?) a "unlimited photo /video upload space"
   in exchange for compression. I was tempted by it, as I actually
   like contributing to their AI routines and such, which is part
   of what it does. But I didn't like the idea of ALL my stuff
   being compressed. Once the information is gone, it's gone, and
   if they have the primary copies, today's "looks good" compressed
   photo will look like crap in five years time. === I haven't
   gotten dependent yet on cloud. I did send a bunch of stuff
   (Vines - 10000 of them so far) to the Internet Archive... I have
   to get back to that project - and that was really complicated to
   automate but a lot of fun tongue emoticon - but I should do it
   with photos too. They're good about setting up an archivist spot
   for you if you just ask and tell them your project. ==== [I
   didn't ask though - I was overloading their systems with
   multiple simultaneously uploads and after killing my acct twice,
   he saw I was legitimate and gave me an Archivist title and a
   spot tongue emoticon ] ==
