I loved you analysis of good documentaries and it's true: many
   documentaries are very very well made. I suppose it is what many
   documentaries try to "draw up" out of me that I don't want to
   feel. "Here is this awful thing and we're going to show it to
   you from 87 different angles". Whether the awful thing is
   tragic, depressing, melancholy, needs-to-change - the common set
   of emotions that many documentaries try to draw out from the
   viewer are a set of emotions that I prefer to have a little more
   control over. So, that's likely one of the stronger reasons why
   I avoid too much exposure. It's not avoiding the issues but
   rather, a presentation that puts me there and leaves me there.
