Minecraft. It's as close to an anti-game as I've seen and that's
   why I enjoy it so much. You can do NOTHING in it. Have no
   purpose whatsoever for being there and yet have a good time. ==
   For purpose-focused games, there's 80s stuff like Galaga and
   Zaxxon. [loved the music in both cases]. Castlevania. I liked
   hockey on my Intellivision because I could trip people, and
   Madness + the Minotaur on my Tandy Color Computer 2 because it
   was a text adventure where I was always getting lost and loving
   it. 90s: I saw the appeal of Doom (I beta tested tongue emoticon
   ) but after that, all 1st person shooters looked like Doom to
   me, so I lost most interest in gaming 'til Minecraft came along.
   == I KNOW I'd enjoy Fallout 4, which is why I stay away from it.
   I'm weird like this: I avoided MC for a year until I *had* to
   start up a server for my nephew in 2012 and, well, it became an
   obsession. Thankfully games like Fallout4 have built-in limits;
   they're not infinite games... but as someone who _can_ get
   hooked on things easily and use it to escape (like being on FB
   right now), I try to be careful tongue emoticon ==
