Edison's brilliance was bringing together inventors under one
   roof. Marketing skills - it was the age of PT Barnum and Yellow
   Journalism - he was tops. But everything Edison had, Tesla
   didn't. Their relationship was rather short-lived from what I
   understand: Edison said, "no AC work" and Tesla did anyway,
   which got him canned. I think Tesla's treatment by Westinghouse
   was far more despicable to be honest.
