80s kid here. Intellivision. Loved pinball. Played all the
   classics in the arcade [I forget the wave - there's officially
   waves, which blows my mind a bit]. Got my Tandy color computer 2
   in '83 at 11 and video game interest started going away and
   learning BASIC took its place. By 16, i declared that "video
   games are for kids 'cause that's what they tell me" and I
   abandoned them. Had NO IDEA people would continue playing as
   adults. I was mighty wrong there!! No regrets. I *did* get to do
   some beta testing beyond that, but I played-for-a-purpose then
   other than score. After testing for DOOM, lost interest totally
   in all forms 'til Minecraft. That changed things for me. == Yup
   smile emoticon I could probably slice my life-so-far into
   stages. Never a regret with any of it so far. As I like to say
   when ppl ask meaning-of-life stuff, "Happy to be here" smile
   emoticon ==
