Actually nicotine helps dreaming. It's functionally *similar* to
   Niacin (although not identical).

   If you want to remember your dreams, tell yourself to do so as
   you fall asleep and keep something to jot it down with when you
   wake up. It works.   Nicotine is weird - it's chemically ALMOST
   a B Vitamin.   I can believe it. It's possible you're right; I
   suspect I've grown accustomed to the stimulative properties of
   it. I'm at high levels of nicotene and caffeine for a while but
   I always remember my dreams. I stay awake 'til I pass out, have
   a weird sleeping schedule, so I'm not really one to compare with
   come to think of it tongue emoticon
