Business and integrity - no matter what the business venture is always something of a battle. You can stick to reasonable prices that are suitable for the marketplace. You can advertise as honestly as possible with minimal hyperbole. You can set people's expectations, correct for flaws in their thinking as best you can and be honest about what you can't do and what you can do, what they can do and what they shouldn't do. But then, you always have people who want what they want, how they want it, when they want it. In their view, it's "their dime", and you're to follow their lead. So, what do you do? You can learn to bend but then there are things that you cannot bend. Business and integrity. Honest, reasonable profit margins. Almost sounds strange together. But it's how to do it. Pure business makes the most profit of course. Pure business has its own machiavellian ethics practically... But more than business or career, what to do with one's life? You have training. Certification. Acclaim. You can be a success! Yet are you in the right place for you? A new life direction? Maybe a refocus on what you already have and direct all of its efforts towards becoming the "right place" for you. Or, you could need a vacation. Some people do. Or a new hobby. Some people do. I don't know the absolute answers. Lower your standards of living in order to find greater fulfillment in being true to yourself? We're taught from a young age this dream: "You can be whatever you want to be" and in a sense, you can. But then we're also taught this other dream, usually in young adulthood: 'You can merge your passion and your career together and have a win-win" But can you without some compromises? Perhaps some do. Yet, do they? It's hard to know as keeping a good 'game face on" is ALSO a strong part of business. So, no easy answers. Just loads of questions.
