via metaphorical language, I can both say "Yes I believe in God"
   and "No, I don't believe in God" with equal honesty.

   I think we're in a similar position.

   I can't say with honesty that I'm atheist because I'm not.
   I can't say with honest that I'm "a believer" because I'm not.

   Even agnostic falls short, but it's the closest thing that most
   people begrudgingly accept.

   I usually avoid the word God altogether because there's too much
   baggage.

   Also, I like the call to "Power of Myth". Joseph Campbell was
   very influential to my way of thinking, although I believe he
   oversimplified grossly. Still, he started a nice dialogue that
   continues.
