Ah, you see it too. He's an entertainer who knows how to give people what they want to see. Much like William Shatner, they're "play arrogant"; they know people like to see that and so they play it up for the camera. But some people forget they're acting. Adam West is another genius in that area; they get everybody to think they're stupid when they're not. Meanwhile, by NOT saying things when one might expect him to, neither confirming nor denying other people's statements, he draws them in. Does he REALLY CARE about immigration? I doubt it. But he plays it up because it gets votes. It gets the numbers. It's diametrically opposed to the moves of the democratic party, polarizing things in EXACTLY the way people like to see. Bernie Sanders has been doing that on the Democratic side. Says all the right things. All the perfect things. All the stuff that makes one nod their head and go, "yes yes yes!". Why do they each seem so perfect for each other's parties? It's constructed. Planned. Calculated. Trumps excellence is appearing stupid when he's far from stupid. He also doesn't need a script. He knows what to do and how to act. He's no fool but he knows how to lead fools, both the dumb ones and the ones who think they're smart by hating him. The thing is: If you take him at his word, you're not very smart either way. He's running for office. He's playing the game. They all play the game.
