The White House an "It's On Us" campaign right now. It's a great
   idea, but alas, it preaches to the converted.

   Sociopathic humor like the frat-boy signs will continue, perhaps
   subverted and as [1]Chuck Hambleton points out, subverting it
   and making it underground might prove to be worse.

   At the same time, does it *REALLY* have to be so explicit on a
   kid's FIRST DAY AT UNIVERSITY? Just BEING at the University and
   making friends, you'd figure out the culture soon enough. I
   agree that the the behavior shouldn't be condoned by the
   community. Still... criminalizing the signs won't stop the
   mentality behind it... and that can be a little more
   frightening. Every man becomes a potential frat boy in nice-guy
   clothing.

   So, like most things, a decent answer to the problem has many
   difficult levels.
