cyclical time is like a clock. The hands go around and around.
   Or better still, seasons.

   There are events in cyclical time, but they happen in relatively
   predictable cycles. It is spring. The sun is in this position.
   We plant.

   We might speak of seasons without speaking of years but as a
   single season encompassing all the years of seasons without
   referring to the years.

   In short, there's no real progression to the future in that case
   in a time line. Rather, it's (winter spring summer fall)REPEAT.
