A simple change of context makes anything possible.

Wanna raise people from the dead?

Become a speaker for the dead. If you're an expert on someone's
life and can write - or better - an actor who can imitate them
well enough to portray them... BOOM, you just raised someone
   from the dead.

Is it _exactly_ the same? No. But our technological abilities to
take DNA and grow someone ain't there yet, and anyway, the only
place that our thoughts and brain patterns are collected are in
the things we create in our lives - the things we write, paint,
draw, music we write, the people whose lives we touch and
remember us or the people we influence, the machines we make...
THOSE things are a form of definite immortality that reflect at
least parts of our brainwave patterns.

So, not a bad form of immortality. And if Christianity or
another religion turns out to be correct as well? I'm cool with
that too. I'm a nice guy whatever way things end up.
