Indeed.* I don't mind the money and the education and the growing Science fandom in our culture all that much.* It has its benefits, although some of its excess perhaps ought to be curtailed somewhat. [Fed myself on an exclusive diet of the Science Channel before I spotted the excessive consistency.* very disturbing moment.* Didn't take much research to see what had changed and found myself a bit disappointed to see what the new Religion forming in front of my eyes... and how it will eventually eat its own tail... Yet, secondary and Ternary benefits are, perhaps worth the shakeup, with some resultant short-changed views of History that aren't much worse than, "George Washington admitted to lying about the Cherry Tree" stuff I grew up with. [they went back to teaching that Galileo was persecuted by The Church and link up imagery of Salem Witch hunts from Massachusetts... *so freakin' ridiculous, totally historically inaccurate in more ways than I can count.. and hearing it come out of the mouth of my teddy bear Black Science man really was disappointing... and then Hawking a year later.* COME ON HAWKING YOU USED TO BE SMARTER THAN THAT. Fuck. Anyway.. all that being said, it's nice to see money going to Science and people being inspired to pursue it. But if they succeed in removing the need for evidence in the field of Theoretical Physics, THEY'D BETTER disconnect it from SCIENCE and stick it in the PHILOSOPHY department... because as cool as they are... IT'S NOT THAT SPECIAL... it's become a Religion with all the trappings... and doesn't make me a new toaster. Besides CogPsych is where it's at for our religious futures, not repeating DA SPOOKINESS OF DA ENTANGLED STATE 'CAUSE EINSTEIN WAS MAKING FUN OF IT It's not spooky.* It's a 720 degree spin.* You can do it with your arms.* Not spooky.* I've demonstrated 720 degrees using my HEAD the viewpoint of the entangled electron.* I wish they'd stop being spooky. But, like this guy, "spooky, mystery, secrets" sells and gets viewers.* We like listening to a guy who seems to know what he's talking about. [1]https://vine.co/v/MA5WB6wZYUV - yeah, a year ago I was starting to have tendencies like that guy.* I still do.* I gotta watch out for it - soooo tempting. :P Ah here we go: one a few 720 degree entangled orientation head spins. [2]https://vine.co/v/hIXg5Oh5xaD* yeah, I could so easily be like that guy with the TV and the magnets.* So glad I limit myself to 6 seconds at a time.
