Speech therapy in 3rd grade for stutter, complete success, with
   added benefit of being a living, breathing being entirely fluent
   in IPA. I always hear the sounds-that-make-up-the-sounds., even
   when I write, and combine it together very quickly in my brain.
   Deafness, stutter, had to speed up internal processing to add-up
   disparate parts to solve a mystery everytime I hear a word
   spoken. Its fun... thankfully

   Reading Claude Shannon's "A Mathematical Theory of
   Communication". (late 40s) at some point in my teens or 20s, was
   fantastic experience, especially where he goes over the
   redundancy built-in to the English language. It's a marvelous
