The presumption is that science and religion are opposites. That
   is not necessarily so.* They both try to predict the future; one
   through fable and the other through the mathematics which are
   more precise and we can build things with (engineering).* We can
   also theorize, which is science.* Theories are not required to
   build things.* Just knowledge of building.* Scientific
   explanations are typically after the fact, although at times
   they can also predict, which is one of the greatest features of
   the sciences over prophecy: Their accuracy. [I expect some heat
   because yes, it's a challenge :P ]
