At times it seems the only thing holding our economy together is the wisdom of the the American consumer with roots in rural America. It's a radical new concept to some people; business should be about people. Work with the best in people and you'll tap a powerful force that will create unlimited profits. Control people and you work with margins. Customer service is holding people by the scruff of the neck to make it look like corporations are smiling while in reality their throwing dead bodies out the back door. This is the age of customer service. Not the iron age. Not the information age. The customer service age, paralleling the women's movement into the economy. The thing that's so shocking, about Credit Default Swaps, is how subtle the relationship was between Wall Street and politics. If you're at a cocktail party and somebody starts talking about a financial windfall it's time to get out of the bubble.
