J-Pilot today
=============

I'm using the J-Pilot [1] almost daily. It is still supported in many
Linux distributions and it still work with all Palm PDA line - at least
from the Palm Pilot Personal/Professional (Palm OS 2.0) to the latest
third-party devices like ACEECA PDA32 (Palm OS 5.4.0). There are
issues, of course (Palm OS 4.x devices, you know), but these issues are
more related to the kernel drivers than to the J-Pilot itself. And it
works on any platform supported by the Linux (ARM, Intel/AMD, POWER and
so).

Of course, many plugins are gone or they are to compilable on modern
systems (I wished to have an e-mail plugin and it is not possible
now...).

Actually, I'm using the Palm III (a TRGpro) via the USB-serial adapter
and it works as well as it worked with a real serial port on my SGI O2.

It's amazing that is still works this way.
