POWER9 in use (11/2019)
=======================

As you may know I have a Raptor CS Blackbird - the cheapest current
Power/PowerPC one can get.

It still is not my only desktop - I still use the SGI O2 for some
stuff. This week I did not started the O2 until Friday. But then I had
to get some things done - so I had to start the O2 and do the stuff...
I am still more comfortable with the IRIX than with the Linux (I have
been using Linux for 21 years and so something is wrong there...).

But what is new with the Blackbird? Not much. With the CPU fan it is
very quiet. I still have not installed the GPU - there has been no need
for it, yet. I also got a second SSD. I should use it for the Void
Linux if only I find some free time. Maybe during Christmas.

I also have started to use the ReactOS on a regular basis (inside QEMU,
for testing). It is slow, of course - the x86 CPU has to be emulated in
software. even can cross-compile Windows binaries on the Blackbird (and
then test them in the ReactOS).

At the moment I am not able to do just 2 things and I have no clue
where the problem is:

- PalmOS 4.x USB devices cannot connect
- I cannot see (nor use) the build-in serial port

And that is all.

Written on the Palm IIIx, of course.
