Ubuntu Touch (UBports) OTA-8
============================

It was released in the first half of March but I noticed it only today.
No big changes, mostly bugfixes. So far so good. I still have a working
Ubuntu Touch tablet (the BQ Aquaris M10 FHD) so I'm happy that the
UBports [1] guys and girls are still working on their system.

I have little time to play with the device but I noticed that the
system virtual keyboard work with most of the Gtk+ applications (it
wasn't before as one needs to run Xorg emulation in order to use X11
applications). It actually resolved one of my problems with the Ubuntu
Touch platform: the non-existence of working off-line dictionary. There
has been a program called KnowDict but it has been known to fail
frequently. The Stardict-gtk can work much better.

It's nice to see that these few people are improving the system to the
levels which were never reached by Canonical's developers...

By the way, the Firefox does not work there (under Xorg emulation). The
system is 32bit ARM one so it is normal behaviour these days.
