iMac G5 on WiFi
===============

I think I sometimes wrote here that I have had no luck with the Apple
Airport cards. I ordered such thing several times but never received
one. So I gave up. It is not a problem for most of my Apple machines as
the PowerBook has such card from the beginning, the PowerCD don't need
one and the Power Macintosh 6100 cannot accept one.

The only victim was the iMac G5. It is located in a room where is no
wired Ethernet but in reach on WiFi signal. So the only way to get
data in was use of USB drives.

After reading about the Plan9/9front on the MNT Reform [1] I have
learned that there are Witi-to-Ethernet adapters that migh work. So I
have ordered one.

Actually, I have no idea how/if it will work with my Reform. But it
works well with the iMac! The TenFourFox is still here (not the last
version, I think) and if work well. Browsing seemed to me to be a bit
sluggish so I take a look to system specs. Does it have one or two GB
of RAM? I have upgraded the ram some years ago so how big it is?

It's 768 MB. Just the same size as my SGI O2 has. Once it was huge
amount but now it's now not enough to open several browser tabs..

Anyway, my iMac is on-line!
