End of season
=============

We have snow here (in Ostrava, Czechia). Actually a lot of snow after
all these snow-less winters! I don't remember when there was snow
before Christmas. Maybe around 2006?

This probably means the end of cycling "season". It was actually a
continuous affair from March 2021. There was a break during Christmas
2021 but it was due other factors. But now it seems that commuting on
the bike is not feasible for some time.

So I can do some sort of summary: it was over 3600 km in 2022. I rode
several bikes (mostly the ones with small wheels: Moultons and
Bromptons). In 2021 it was "just over" 1000 km but in 2020 and earlier I
had about 100-300 km per year at all...

I have somewhat expanded my "collection" of bicycles by adding several
piles of rust (it will need a lot of effort to make bicycles from
them!) and also added some more recent machines (none of them has been
new).

My "stealth black" Brompton it my most used machine - I tried not to
use it for commuting but had to use it when other machines were in
repairs. I also use it for longer mixed mode trips (because is is
foldable). The second most used machine is my Moulton Standard from
1965 (at least it was marketed to me to be this model - I suspect that
it's ~1969 Moulton Major). This machine required a lot of repairs,
unfortunately (and it is out of service now).

There were several interesting tours in 2022. I have been considering
to write something about them in a manner similar to guofu's posts [1].

I hope that I will able to reach 4000 in 2023!
