Too much Organiser IIs
======================

Last Saturday I tried to find something so I went through my PDA
collection. I also tried to review the devices I use (less or more)
actively.
Among others there were Psion Organiser II devices.

CM (2-line LCD):

This thing is working, it has a DataPack and the Oxford Dictionary
pack inserted. It is in storage. If I'm not mistaken it has just some
8 kB of RAM which makes it incompatible with many applications.

XP (2-line LCD):

This one is working, ready to be used, with the battery inserted.
There are the MathPack and the DataPack (a 16 kB, low-power one, I
think), too. It is used infrequently, however.

LZ (4-line LCD), somewhat used:

Aside the partially unreadable key labels it is in perfect condition.
Serves as an alarm clock in our bedroom and also as the note taking
device (many of phlogs here were written on this particular device).
The RAM pack (64 kB I guess) and the AutoScribe packs are inserted.

LZ (4-liner), almost new:

It is used less often. Usually to convert temperatures, to write OPL
codes and so on. It is usually placed randomly (in the office, in the
living room or in any other place). The RAM pack (266 kB) and the
AutoScribe packs are inserted.

LZ (4-liner), heavily used:

This one has several issues (including problems with the battery
compartment) so it's in storage. Only dummy packs are inserted.

LZ64, dead as possum:

This thing never worked for me, unfortunately. It's a pity as it is
the most powerful Organiser II one can get. One day I will try to open
it to find out what is wrong.

P464 (4-liner):

This is of no use - probably a perfect device but it was designed to
boot from a custom datapack which I do not have (it has no ROM with
the OS). For the P2xx devices here is a hack (a stock OS on a DataPack
but for the Pxx there is none).

I think this is all I have... I did not listed the original PSION
Organiser (not the II, just the Organiser) but it is a collection item
and not a device I intend to use.
