Notebook/laptop for meetings
============================

My work have returned to normal, so there are tons of meetings,
scientific boards and so. I refuse to carry my work laptop (the Lenovo
X260) everywhere. So I have two options:

- the Gemini PDA (with the Android)
- the GPD Pocket (with the Ubuntu LTS)

For the first day I tried to use the Gemini. It was not extra
comfortable. The screen is small (not tall enough for real use), the
keyboard is small (and I am more and more sure that is not as good as
old Psion keyboards). Surprisingly I have no problems with its moving
screen (the scree hinges are not stiff enough so whole device slightly
moves when one types on the keyboard). Still, I didn't find its use
comfortable.

So I started to use the GPD. It's bigger (still smaller than one half
of the X260) so it was much higher screen than the poor Gemini and
keyboard with keys of normal size (the layout is a compromise but I
have learned how to use it without too much mistypes). The normal
desktop applications are also easier to use than mobile ones.

The GPD had some battery issues. I had to replace the original battery
after 1 year of use and now I have the second one (it is also GPD
branded). Then there was another issue. After I solved it the OS
started to assume maximum battery life to 4-5 hours (it was 12 in the
beginning). After some pause (I didn't used the device during corona
time) it shows times about 12-15 hours. And it seems to be less or more
realistic (I ran it over 6 hours on the battery and it was still on
65%). That's interesting.

So I will continue to use the GPD for all these meetings...
